Dancia Penn, OBE, QC practices as a lawyer, arbitrator and mediator. The most senior lawyer in practice, she is recognized as an expert on BVI law. She regularly advises on and provides expert evidence for use in litigation and arbitration in both domestic and international disputes in a range of matters.
Dancia accepts appointment as an Arbitrator, and regularly sits as Chair or Member of Arbitral Tribunals and represents parties before them. She is affiliated with Arbitrators@33 Bedford Row, London, Arbitration Place, Toronto and is Co-Founder of Caribbean Arbitrators based in The British Virgin Islands. She is on The Roster of Arbitrators of The BVI International Arbitration Centre, and is a member of The Panels of Distinguished Neutrals of The International Institute For Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) and is an Arbitrator on its Global Panel.
Dancia is a former Attorney General of The Virgin Islands, and is a Founding Member of The Support Group of The BVI International Arbitration Centre.
Dancia is called to the Bar of The Republic of Barbados and is entitled to practice in the nine Member States of The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
